When Petite Paloma reached out to us, they were on the cusp of opening their first storefront. While the luxury goods market in the US was declining by 8%, Kelsey and her company had experienced soaring growth thanks to her charming heirloom boot designs. They had just finished a dreamy new photoshoot and their popularity on social media was at an all-time high. But, like so many founder-led companies, their business had outgrown their original branding and website. The original brand identity was Western-inspired and slightly rugged, lacking a the differentiated and romantic aesthetic that made their boot designs so popular. The site had become overly complicated and sizing information was so confusing that large numbers of customers returned their boots. Kelsey needed a brand as tasteful as her products, coupled with a beautiful Shopify website to help her reduce returns and increase sales.
We wanted Petite Paloma’s new look to communicate an ethereal and whimsical style with a nod to the brand’s bucolic Texas roots.
Our process began using data and research to reimagine Petite Paloma’s brand promise: “To wear Petite Paloma is to have the heart of a romantic in authentic heirloom boots.” This statement and the supporting strategy guided every aspect of the design, emphasizing romance, craftsmanship, and authenticity.
The new brand identity features a hand-drawn dove icon, symbolizing the brand’s namesake, “little dove.” Representing love, peace, and renewal, the dove’s delicate beauty contrasts with its resilience, as some migrate over 1,000 miles each year. Its graceful design sets Petite Paloma apart as a luxury fashion brand, appealing to women who love Western-inspired style with a softer, feminine touch.
Kelsey and her team needed more than a beautiful Shopify website; they needed a high-functioning shop for their next stage of growth. Since the early days of their business, the existing site had grown into an unwieldy mix of tags and collections, making navigation difficult. Their biggest challenge was a high volume of returns due to complicated sizing information.
Within three months of launching, returns had significantly decreased and online orders notably increased over the previous period.
Petite Paloma’s refreshed branding and Shopify site have not only transformed their online store but also elevated their in-store experience. Kelsey and her team immediately implemented the branding across their store as well as social media, live events, and paid search campaigns, driving traffic and increasing sales.
Petite Paloma now stands out as a quintessential example of a beautiful shopify website for luxury fashion brands, demonstrating that founders like Kelsey can see a speedy return on their investment with the right strategy.
“We are so pleased with the final product Monica!! It’s so nice to have a cohesive look from storefront to website! Thank you for making our website functional and beautiful! 🤍” ~ Kelsey
